Over the last few years I have had a lot of dreams where I am talking to friends and family who have passed away.

The first was in 2003 when I lost a good friend of mine in an accident at sea. He died in February and it was in April when one night I found myself standing in a field with Sid. It was so clear, he was dressed in his customary fashion in jeans, a white t-shirt and his trademark hobnail boots. Sid had a bit of a beer belly and was forever pulling up his jeans and this time was no exception.

There was only him and me in this field and I could see a light breeze blowing his hair.Sid had a strong Southampton accent and I had a long conversation with him. Then I woke up and thought I must remember what he had said to me, I should have written it down but I went back to sleep almost immediately
but when I woke up in the morning I had forgotten everything we had talked about. Yet I can still remember how he looked and sounded.

The second one which sticks in my memory was from my Aunt who being only 4 foot 11 was always known as Pip. She died aged 92 in 2006 and again I was asleep when I heard the phone ring, when I picked it up it was my Auntie Pip phoning to check if I was ok. We had a conversation and at the end of the call said," you know I love you very much."

Some days later when I was at work I was telling one of my colleagues about this and had just got to the bit where Auntie Pip had said that she loved me very much when our cleaning lady walked in and dryly remarked it was funny what you heard when you walked in on someone's conversation.

i enjoyed reading your stories about your dreams, and how they all relate to passed loved ones. I myself have dreams about my loved ones ,but i feel as if im actually there with them in the dream, i get warnings from them, if something bad is about to happen and also get messages to give to family and friends from them as well. I was told the dreams i have are real and that they are visions, and that my loved ones who have passed on will always come to me in my dreams,[visions], which i find reassuring. Thankyou for sharing your dreams. god blessyou. Edith.

I felt this to be very interesting. To me these dreams came just when you needed some comfort. I have had many dreams // premonitions and at first it frightened me but now I know there is an after life.
At this moment in time I keep dreaming of my own funeral and have been told that it is way of starting a new chapter in my life or telling me I should take more care of myself. I really do not know.
People who over hear conversations and make remarks are the ones who should keep quiet as it was not meant for their ears. If you had wanted to tell them you would.
