United States President 2016
The United States presidential election of 2016 will be the 58th quadrennial U.S. presidential election and is scheduled for Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
Key Outcome – Democrats more likely to win, Republicans further embattled. 2016 election will have a predominate female influence. 2016 will see a surprise candidate.
Spread used –Defining outcome and influence factors.
President Obama is barred by constitutional term limits from seeking re-election in 2016. A significant number of candidates will likely compete for the Democratic and Republican nominations. In particular, the Republicans appear to be fielding an army of potential nominees.
Ist level – x 2 = Current situation ( Knight of Pentacles + The Sun )
The pattern emerging from level 1 is focused away from the main hub of potential presidential candidates and is leaning more to the socio-economic factors that will potentially influence the outcome in 2016.
There are signs emerging here that in all probability, the presidential campaign will be devoid of public fervour on a scale that has not been witnessed for a generation, especially in the primary run-up to the election of each respective candidate,
One Year before the main election campaign, there is a sense of clumsiness amongst the potential contenders in their bid to seek nomination. Expect to hear news of embarrassment and personal gaffs from would be hopefuls.
Curiously, the main symbolic association within these two cards is made by the images of Horses that drive forward, their respective bearings. Both the Knight of Pentacles and the Sun hold a similar symbolic association, in the form of a horse and yet there is distinct variance in how these images attempt to find balance in their respective symbology. The Knight is heavy and unexciting, whereas the the Sun holds the child like sprightliness. The Democrats are being linked to the latter Major Sun Arcana.
My feeling here is drawn in the direction of political extremes that hypothetically, can be seen within any one political party. On a balance of chance, the Tarot is saying that the Republican Party is more likely to experience a problematical pathway than the Democrats, during the primary election towards finding their most suitable candidate.
2nd level, ongoing elements x 3
Left, stable (pentacles x 9,wand x 4 )
Women have been voting predominantly Democratic in American elections since the early 1990’s and this trend is unlikely to change during the run up to the Presidential elections, which includes the primary elections.
Both cards reflect stability. Curiously however, because the primary elections, which are almost universally decided by a small portion of the electorate — much, much smaller than the typical 60 percent that characterises presidential elections, the Tarot says that in all likelihood, there could be significant interest in voting for a female candidate for both Democratic and Republican in 2016.
Centre, changes ( swords x10,page wands )
Around the time of the primary campaign, news of impending dishonour amongst some candidates will unravel. Consequently, there are indications within this lay that appear to incriminate Obama in his final Year in office. It is on the back of this that a surprise proclamation is made within the Democratic Party assembly.
Note the ten of Swords – the closure and finality of this card from a previous life direction.
Nevertheless, this exemplification does not reflect Obama’s life’ pattern. It does in fact link back to the feminine energy of the Pentacles x 9, the effect of which tells me that Hilary Clinton is less likely to stand for election. If however, she does ‘throw her hat into the ring’, it appears doubtful that she will be elected as the Democratic nominee for presidency. This may come as a shock to political commentators. However, the Tarot is very decisive as it endeavours to find clarity in the centre lay.
Right, Extreme ( cups x 9 , the moon)
The Republican Party will face a correspondingly thought-provoking period during the primary elections.
In all likelihood, the preferred candidate in the Months leading to the election, will lose momentum on the run-up to the poll and will therefore loose. Both cards in this position are extreme. The Major Arcana ( Moon ) is reflective of probable deceitfulness. Whereas Cups x 8 is reflective energy that conceivably represents another Republican candidate, who has had some input in dealing the final blow to the preferred candidate.
3rd level = Influencing factors in energy disparity x 2 ( swords x 3 + wands x 5 ) + 4th level = direction of momentum now x 2 ( ace swords + ace cups )
The primary elections have been determined and there is a real chance that at least one if not two unlikely candidates will have been nominated for each party before the start of the journey towards winning the presidential election race that now starts in earnest.
The 2016 campaign will be particularly gruelling for each party. Both candidates under immense scrutiny by World’ Media as well as officials from within their own respective parties.
It is on the back of the Swords x 3 that the Democratic Party will recover from a difficult campaign.
In the immediate days following the primary election, there is sense of impediment for the Democrat nominee.
Paradoxically, despite the fact that most political experts believe that Clinton will win in 2016 ( The Tarot supports this idea too ), the Tarot is now leaning to the possibility of a surprise election win as as the 58th President.
