Two people, both Reiki practitioners asked me last week- 'Have you done a lot of Reiki?' And my reply was yes, I do Reiki for myself every day. They were surprised because they haven't been doing Reiki for themselves much at all since they took level two. And they weren't thinking about Reiki for yourself, that wasn't really what they were asking. They hadn't thought about Reiki for your own health, or growth, or self development. It turned out that they both had many questions and worries about the usage of Reiki.
I have been doing Reiki for myself every day, for my own health, and every week for other people, either in person, or via distant connection, either for customers or doing it for free for people who are in the news who are ill or have had accident. When you take level two, or go on to level three, you are still learning. The only way you will continue to learn is to use Reiki, and to find out more and more, by using it often, and by meditating, and by continuing reading about it.
That is why they were unsure about Reiki. They hadn 't been using it for anything, or anyone. So when one of them had ill relatives, she didn't know what to do to ensure that what she was doing worked, or what to do precisely.
Someone said to me, about four years a
go, that they thought you couldn't learn to heal in a one or two day course- and that is right- you can't and you don't. The process is that you learn each day you use Reiki, you learn by meditating, and you learn each time you find out something new, from all the sources there are available.
After I took level three, I did a self empowerment, called reiju, twice a day for four weeks. As well as self healing every day which I have continued to do, (just about) every day. I wasn't told to do this by my teacher, but I wanted to ensure that I did everything I could for myself, for my own knowledge, and my own continued learning and self development.
Of course, I also have had many customers for Reiki, since starting training, both paying customers and non-paying.
Reiki level one and two are just the start. But if you don't want to go on to in depth training as I have done, and still am doing. Make sure you find a good teacher, someone who trains you what you need to know, so that when you need Reiki, you will know what to do. And someone who ensures ongoing support, so that if you do have any questions further down the line, that you know you can ring them or email them for help.
